Ahead of the World Games in Chengdu, China, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has highlighted Azerbaijan's mixed pair in aerobics – Medina Mustafayeva and Vladimir Dolmatov.
İdman.biz reports that the aerobics competitions will be part of the multi-sport event taking place from August 7-17.
The FIG portal notes that among the key figures in mixed pairs will be the Japanese Riri Kitadzume and Mizuki Saito: "Kitadzume and Saito won gold at the World Championships in Pesaro, surpassing silver medalists - Azerbaijani representatives Mustafayeva and Dolmatov. Kitadzume also defended her world champion title in the women's individual program at the same competition. Saito is the first Japanese to become a world champion in aerobics in 2016. They are considered the main favorites for the championship in Chengdu. However, among the contenders for medals are the Azerbaijani couple and the bronze medalists of the World Championship, the Brazilians."
