Amy Carlon, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the United States to Azerbaijan, watched the spectacular performances of the world's most talented young gymnasts at the Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling World Cup held in Baku.

"On behalf of the Embassy, we sincerely congratulate all participants, including the athletes from Azerbaijan who won six medals and the U.S. team who won three! We were particularly pleased that the entire podium in the men's individual tumbling competition consisted of athletes from Azerbaijan and the United States (pictured). Like Azerbaijan, the United States is proud to host international sporting events, including gymnastics competitions. On March 7, Las Vegas, Nevada will host the American Cup in artistic gymnastics. This competition will be organized for the first time in a mixed team (men and women) format and will serve as a test for the first mixed team gymnastics competition to be held at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles," the statement said.
