The "AGF Trophy 2026" international rhythmic gymnastics tournament was held at the National Gymnastics Arena from April 3–5. Azerbaijani representatives were remembered for their high results in the competition, which lasted three days and was attended by gymnasts from 15 countries.
Idman.Biz reports that our country was represented at this prestigious tournament by Azade Atakishiyeva, Fidan Gurbanli, Govhar Ibrahimova, Kamilla Seyidzade, Ayla Isgandarli, Nuray Muradli, and Gulnur Mammadli.
On the second day of the tournament, the winners in the all-around team competition in individual and group exercises were determined. Our gymnasts Kamilla Seyidzade and Fidan Gurbanli won a silver medal in the team competition and stood out with their successful performances.
Our representatives showed high results on the last day of the competition as well. In the youth age category, Azade Atakishiyeva won a gold medal in the ribbon program and a silver medal in the individual ball program. Among adults, Govhar Ibrahimova won bronze in the hoop and ribbon programs, and Fidan Gurbanli won silver in the ball program.
Various interactive competitions were also organized for spectators during the tournament. The winners of the competition won tickets to the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, which will be held in Baku on April 17-19.
