The six medals won by Azerbaijani gymnasts at the World Cup in Baku are a great success and a source of pride.
This was stated to "Report" by Sara Shukurova, representative of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF).
According to the AGF official, this achievement is an indicator of their long-term preparation, hard work and professionalism:
"Our gymnasts demonstrated high-level performances throughout the competition, distinguished by both technical execution and artistry. The support of the fans gave them additional motivation. We hope that they will please us with high results in all competitions throughout the season".
S. Shukurova said that the World Cup was remembered for its high-level organization:
"The holding of the competition in accordance with international standards, the modern technical facilities created in the arena, the professional activities of volunteers and the high hospitality shown to guests should be especially noted. A comfortable and safe environment was created for both athletes and spectators at the National Gymnastics Arena. Especially during the meeting with Tofig Aliyev, the atmosphere was very lively, which added extra color to the competition. In general, Baku once again demonstrated its ability to organize prestigious sports events at the highest level".
It should be reminded that the World Cup in trampoline gymnastics and tumbling, organized at the National Gymnastics Arena, ended yesterday. The couple Seljan Mahsudova - Maqsud Mahsudov won a gold medal in the mixed synchronized program. Among tumblers, Mikhail Malkin won gold and Tofig Aliyev won silver. Among trampoliners, the couples Maqsud Mahsudov - Huseyn Abbasov and Seljan Mahsudova - Shafiga Humbatova won bronze in the synchronized program, and Seljan Mahsudova won silver in the individual competition.
