"My expectation from our mini-football team's match against Kazakhstan is only victory. God willing, we will win today and qualify for the 1/4 finals."
These words were said by Davud Karimi, who became the European champion in the national mini-football team.
He shared his thoughts on our national team's match against Kazakhstan in the 1/8 finals of the European Championship.
"The opposing Kazakhstan team does not seem so strong to me this time. The Kazakhstan team we faced in Bosnia in 2024 was a more experienced and more compact team. This time, I think their squad is relatively weak. Our national team is both European and world champion. They went to the championship in Slovakia as world champions. Our team joined the tournament with the strongest squad. Elshad muellim has formed the strongest squad possible for today. In my opinion, our national team will finish the tournament in the top "three". But my main expectation is the championship. Our team's potential allows this. Considering the team's successes in recent years, the fans' expectation of the championship is completely understandable," he said in his statement to sport24.az.
Note that the match will start at "Tipos Arena" at 23:59 Baku time.
