"Red Bull" driver Max Verstappen has announced that he will not return to the Formula 1 championship as a manager or team leader after finishing his Formula 1 career.
Idman.Biz reports that the four-time world champion currently has a contract with "Red Bull" until the end of 2028. However, the Dutch driver does not hide that he prefers projects outside of Formula 1 in his future plans. One of his main goals is to compete in sports car races before his peak is over.
According to reports, Verstappen plans to leave Formula 1 when he reaches the age of 30 (he is currently 28 years old). He has repeatedly emphasized his desire to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship and has openly expressed his motivation in this direction.
Max Verstappen said during his appearance on the "On the Racetrack" program that he only likes being a driver in Formula 1 and does not plan to return in a managerial role in the future. According to him, the main focus is on supporting the transition of simulator pilots to real car races.
Verstappen noted that the first steps have already been taken in this direction and the project is developing successfully. In his opinion, the transition from the simulator to the real racing world can create a real opportunity for talented young pilots with limited financial resources.
