Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli has won the Canadian Grand Prix, the fifth stage of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Idman.Biz reports that the race took place in Montreal at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The 19-year-old Italian driver finished the main race first with a result of 1:28:15.758.
Ferrari's British driver Lewis Hamilton finished second, 10.768 seconds behind the winner. Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen finished third, 11.276 seconds behind.
Charles Leclerc, Isack Hadjar, and Franco Colapinto were also in the top six. Leclerc finished fourth, while Hadjar and Colapinto were one lap behind.
It should be noted that George Russell stopped fighting during the race due to a problem with the power plant. After this result, Antonelli strengthened his leadership in the personal account by winning his fourth consecutive victory.
After five races, Antonelli is in first place in the personal account. His teammate Russell is in second place, and Ferrari driver Leclerc is in third place. Mercedes leads in the Constructors' Cup, followed by Ferrari and McLaren.
