"It was clear that Omonia's attacking line was strong. We felt it in the game against Zira last year."
These words were said by former Azerbaijani national team footballer Yashar Vahabzade in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced expert shared his thoughts on the first match of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, in which Araz-Nakhchivan lost 0:4 to Cypriot representative Omonia in Baku yesterday: "Araz-Nakhchivan" defended weakly as a team. It's football, such matches are inevitable. After this, the team must recover and prepare well psychologically for the game in Cyprus. This match needs to be forgotten."
He also commented on Sabah's defeat (0:1) to Bulgarian Levski in the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League:
"Sabah" played at an equal level. If there was a little accuracy in the attacking line, they would have been able to score a goal. They lost concentration in the last seconds. It is possible that this was due to fatigue. Nothing is over yet in this duel. Sabah can win in the return match."
It should be noted that the return match between the parties will be held on August 14.
