Argentina national team and Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi answered a question about his possible participation in the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the 37-year-old forward said he is trying to stay in shape to help his team in this tournament:
"World Cup 2026? 2025 has just started. I am working with great desire and enthusiasm. I hope that I will feel good until the 2026 World Cup and that I will be able to have a good pre-season so that I am in excellent shape for official matches."
It should be noted that Messi won the last World Cup with the Argentina national team. The forward was also named the best player of the tournament.
