Legendary French footballer and coach Zinedine Zidane talked about what it was like to coach Ballon d'Or winners Luka Modrić and Karim Benzema. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement about this to "Sport Bible":
"The players who made me jump out of my seat and kept me in suspense? These are Karim Benzema and Luka Modrić. You think these players are going to lose the ball. But they drove me crazy by keeping the ball at the last moment. They knew how to change the situation on the field."
It should be noted that "Real" won three consecutive Champions League titles for the first time in football history under Zidane's leadership. Luka Modrić and Karim Benzema were awarded the Ballon d'Or.
