"Zira" has quality players. It's no coincidence that they are in second place in the league table. Despite falling behind 2:0 in the first half, we recovered in the second half and reduced the gap. Unfortunately, we lost in the end." These words were said by Vugar Mustafayev, the captain of "Sumgayit", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced footballer shared his thoughts on the game they lost to "Zira" in the 31st round of the Misli Premier League:
"Our team's goal is to stay in the Premier League. As for the reason for my long absence from the field, it is the head coach's decision. Sometimes injuries didn't allow it either. I didn't experience any extraordinary feelings. I wanted my team to win and contribute. If I am given a chance again in the next matches, I will do my best. I have severe pain in my knee. This has been going on for several years. I may end my career at the end of the season. Because the pain doesn't allow me to play comfortably on the field. Although it is not yet certain, I will most likely end my career at the end of the season."
It should be noted that the "Zira" - "Sumgayit" match ended with a 3:1 victory for the home team.
