The friendly match between PSV and "Villarreal" has come to an end.
Sport.Biz reports that the match ended with a 3:1 victory for "Villarreal".
Villarreal's striker George Mikautadze opened the scoring in the 66th minute. Midfielder Sheikh Tidian Tiam doubled the lead for the Spanish club in the 72nd minute. Three minutes later, PSV defender Mauro Junior reduced the deficit, but just one minute later, Villarreal's striker Pau Cabanes scored the third goal against the Eindhoven team.
PSV won the championship in the Netherlands, finishing first in the Eredivisie in the 2025/26 season.
"Villarreal" finished third in the Spanish La Liga table last season, earning 72 points in 38 matches.
