Federico Valverde, the midfielder of the Spanish football team "Real Madrid", scored the best goal of the season in the Champions League.
Idman.Biz reports that the UEFA Technical Observer Group has determined the top ten goals of the 2025/2026 season. The first place in the list was taken by Valverde's goal in the match where "Real Madrid" won 3:0 against "Manchester City".
The Uruguayan footballer scored this goal in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. UEFA announced that Valverde completed his hat-trick in that episode and the shot was rated as the best goal of the season.
The second place was awarded to the goal scored by "Tottenham" defender Micky van de Ven against "Copenhagen". The top three was completed by "Bayern" footballer Luis Dias's goal in the first leg of the semi-final with PSG.
