Bavarian supervisor board member Uli Hoeneß has reacted to the decision of boycotting the FIFA-funded tournaments, particularly the World Cup, if the organization sells its stake in competition rights to private investors.
Sport.Biz reports that all 55 member states of UEFA have decided to boycott the 2030 World Cup in protest against FIFA's plans to sell its stakes in the tournament to private investors.
"Personally, I think Europeans do not realize how strong they are. Tournaments without European teams are worthless. If they really unite and work towards this goal consistently, Mr. Infantino will not abandon his plans. If he wants to see Fiji and Cape Verde play in the World Cup, let him allow it", Hoeneß said.
