The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced that the national team's flight to Mexico to participate in the 2026 World Cup has been delayed.
İdman.Biz reports that this is due to visa issues for a number of players and official members of the delegation. As a result, the team was unable to travel to North America on the originally scheduled date.
The Association stated that work is being done around the clock to resolve the situation and that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the team travels to the tournament as soon as possible.
Until departure, the South African national team will continue its training in Johannesburg.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19. In the group stage, the opponents of the South African national team will be Mexico, Czech Republic and South Korea.
