Interview with Rufat Abbasov, defender of "Shamakhi", to Idman.biz - You won the game against "Kapaz" with a score of 2:0 in the XXXI round of the Azerbaijan Premier League. How do you evaluate the match? - We knew it would be a difficult game. There was a 3-point difference between us and "Kapaz". We were playing at our home ground. We wanted to win to make our fans happy and we succeeded. - Do you think you will be able to do this in Tovuz? - The team is currently resting. We will come together after two days of rest. Tovuz trips have always been difficult. In the match against "Turan Tovuz", we will fight to fulfill the instructions of the coaches and win. A difficult game awaits us. - "Shamakhi" is seventh in the tournament table. What do you think are the reasons for your placement in the lower ranks? - It is normal for us to be in this place. The goal set at the beginning of the season was to stay in the Premier League. But we will not be satisfied with this. We will play for higher positions as much as we can. As you know, we are the team with the lowest budget in the Championship. Nevertheless, we fight very well against teams that are superior to us in terms of budget, and we show good games. We will also come to the field to win the last five matches. - What are your plans for your future career? Are you thinking of changing teams in the near future? - I have a contract with the club for the next season as well. I feel happy in "Shamakhi". - How would you comment on the current state of our championship? - This year the championship is very tense.
