"Neftchi" FK has completed its first transfer for the new season.
Idman.Biz reports that the capital's representative has added left-back Rufat Abbasov to its squad.
According to the club's statement, a three-year contract has been signed with the 21-year-old footballer. Abbasov will play in the team with the number "3" jersey.
It should be noted that Rufat Abbasov is a graduate of the "Neftchi" academy. He joined the club's youth teams in 2015 and was involved in the main team in the 2021/22 season, appearing in two official matches.
The defender spent the last two seasons at "Shamakhi". He also played in 17 matches for the Azerbaijan U-21 national team and was also called up to the main national team.
