Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku has responded to rumors that he will leave "Napoli" after the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that Romelu Lukaku moved to "Napoli" from "Chelsea" in the summer of 2024 for 30.7 million euros.
"I was a little annoyed by how some Italian media portrayed the situation. They exaggerated it a lot. I didn't come here for vacation. I wanted to get back in top shape as soon as possible to perform at my best in the World Cup with the Belgian national team and for "Napoli" [next season].
As for my relationship with "Napoli", everything is fine. My love for the club remains unchanged. I have one more year left on my contract and I am a "Napoli" player. I'm not one of those who wants to leave. I feel better and better," - RTBF quotes Lukaku's words.
Lukaku scored one goal in seven games last season.
