Former head coach of "Gabala" and "Neftchi", Roman Hryhorchuk, may be reappointed as head coach of "Chornomorets" club in the coming days.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the "TaToTake" publication that the Odessa representative has made a decision regarding the new head coach who will replace Aleksandr Kucher, and the appointment of the 60-year-old Hryhorchuk is already on the agenda. He is expected to take over the club's helm for the third time.
It is worth recalling that Hryhorchuk previously coached "Chornomorets" in 2010-2014 and 2021-2024. The specialist's last club was Cherkasy representative LNZ, and he led that team in the second half of last season.
It is noted that the current head coach Aleksandr Kucher has confirmed his resignation, but the club has not yet officially announced his resignation.
"Chornomorets" finished the first part of the current season in third place in the First League standings with 38 points scored in 18 games. The team is 10 points behind leader "Bukovyna" and one point behind "Levyi Bereg".
It should be reminded that Hryhorchuk was at the helm of "Gabala" in 2015-2018, and "Neftchi" in 2024.
