Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be part of Enrique Riquelme's election project at Real Madrid.
Idman.Biz, citing Bernabeu Digital, reports that the Real Madrid presidential candidate is considering the Spanish specialist as the team's head coach if he wins the election.
According to the source, Riquelme has already identified the key figures in the sports project. One of the main points of the program is the invitation of Arteta to the team, who in recent years has returned Arsenal to the ranks of the strongest clubs in England and Europe.
It is reported that Riquelme's project also includes the transfer of Manchester City midfielder Rodri. In addition, the candidate intends to create the position of sporting director to restructure the club's sports structure.
The Real Madrid presidential election will be held on June 7. Club's current president Florentino Perez is facing a competitive election campaign for the first time in 20 years.
