The half-time break in the WC-2026 final match between Spain and Argentina lasted 27 minutes.
Sport.Biz reports that due to the installation of musical programs and stage equipment, the teams had to wait much longer than usual for the start of the second half. Some sources have stated that the break lasted 27 minutes and 24 seconds.
"The Times" had previously written that FIFA planned to increase the half-time break in the final from the standard 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Later, it was announced that the break would not last more than 17 minutes.
During the break, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and the BTS group took to the stage. This was the first large-scale half-time show in the history of World Cups for a final match.
