After the match "Neftchi" - "Zira" (2:4) held in the XXX round of the Misli Premier League, the head coach of the visiting team, Rashad Sadigov, answered journalists' questions. Sport24.az reports that the specialist first shared his thoughts on the game:
– The game started very difficult for us. The opponent took advantage of the first two episodes they created. It was difficult to recover and continue the game in these minutes. The players found strength in themselves and did not give up. They fought to the end. We scored 4 goals, we could have lost as well. We started the second half actively. We won three important points. Now we have to look at the upcoming matches. An important game against "Sumgayit" awaits us.
– It is observed in the football community and the media that the work of "Zira" and Rashad Sadigov is not highlighted much. What do you see as the reason?
– Since I started coaching, after the second season, I have distanced myself as much as possible from the media and social networks. I don't follow negative and positive opinions. I don't know if it's as you say or not. We have not built our work on someone praising us. If we deserve praise, they will praise us. It is possible that expectations from me are high. I understand this. There is a 6-point difference with the third place. But I definitely don't think that we have any advantage, that we have solved something. We have six critical games. I don't know when the Conference League game is. I won't look until I get a ticket there. Now I am thinking about the meeting with "Sumgayit."
– Is this the "Zira" that Rashad Sadigov wants to see?
– As a football player, I have never been satisfied with myself. I have always thought I could do better. Today I will think about what we did wrong that the opponent made a difference today and conceded two goals. After Samir Abasov's arrival, "Neftchi" defends reliably. This week I will think about where we went wrong, we conceded goals. Maybe the players were not 100 percent focused on the game that we conceded two goals. I don't think like "Zira" is good, that's enough. If I think about it, we will step back.
– How did you make a comeback when you were losing 0:2? It's as if what happened wasn't sincere…
– I have 33 years of football experience, this type of game has happened a lot in our league and other leagues. We were losing 0:2 in the match with "Karabakh", we won in the end. What do I see as the main reason? We were preparing for the opponent's pressing. We weren't playing well even after 0:2. It was a competitive game. At the end of the half, we pressed, took the ball, and won a penalty. We started to increase the attacking potential. The opponent could have won 3:0. It's part of football. What was our main advantage? "Neftchi" had many losses. In the second half, our reserve force was wider than the opponent's. In the match we lost 1:2 here, "Neftchi" was better than "Zira". Samir Abasov had a reserve force. Those facts could also be. In the second half, we were playing more risky. After the second goal, we took a pause.
