Portuguese midfielder Rafael Leao of the Italian football team "Milan" intends to leave the club in the summer and play in another championship.
Idman.Biz reports that the 26-year-old football player spoke about this in an interview with "Sport TV". Leao said that he is proud to have gone down in history with "Milan", but wants to open a new chapter in his career.
"I did everything I could for Milan. But now it's time to try a new challenge. I feel ready to play in another championship," said the Portuguese footballer.
In the completed season, Rafael Leao appeared in 29 matches in the Italian Serie A, scored nine goals and made three assists. Milan finished the season in fifth place and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The Portuguese football player scored one goal in two games in the Italian Cup. Leao has been wearing the Milan uniform since the 2019/2020 season.
Earlier, it was reported that Spanish "Real Madrid", English "Manchester City" and "Manchester United" football clubs were interested in the football player. Turkish football clubs "Galatasaray" and "Fenerbahce" are also among the teams that included his name in the transfer list.
