Security measures will be strengthened in France on the eve of the UEFA Champions League final between PSG and the English football team "Arsenal".
Idman.Biz reports that French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez has instructed law enforcement agencies to prevent possible riots.
According to reports, 22,000 police officers and gendarmes will be mobilized across the country on May 30. Eight thousand of them will control public order in Paris and its surroundings.
Nunez recalled the acts of violence that occurred in France after PSG's Champions League victory last season.
It should be noted that on May 31, 2025, after PSG defeated "Inter" 5:0 in the final, two people died, 192 were injured, and more than 500 people were detained during the events in the country.
French officials have instructed the police to react harshly to disturbances of public order, vandalism, and attempts of violence against law enforcement officers this time to prevent similar events from happening again.
It should be noted that the PSG - "Arsenal" final will be held on May 30 at the "Puskas Arena" in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The meeting will start at 20:00 Baku time.
