Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez intends to leave the club in the summer transfer window. Sport24.az reports that the Marca publication has reported this.
According to the source, the Argentine striker does not feel comfortable working with Diego Simeone and is personally pushing for a transfer. It is reported that three clubs are showing serious interest in the player: PSG, Arsenal and Barcelona.
Julian's representatives have confirmed that PSG coach Luis Enrique sent a personal message to the player, while the Gunners' coach Mikel Arteta contacted the Argentine between March and May. Barcelona's sporting director Deco also called Alvarez's agent before Atletico's Champions League semi-final game against Arsenal and said that Barcelona would be interested in the transfer if the opportunity arose.
It should be noted that Alvarez has played 49 games this season, scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists. Alvarez's contract with Atletico runs until the summer of 2030. Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old Argentine at 90 million euros.
