Pope Leo XIV has become an honorary member of Real Madrid. According to Sport24.az, the Spanish club's press service has released a statement about this.
The decision to award the Pope the highest award of the club was accepted at a meeting of the Board of Directors, chaired by Real President Florentino Perez. On June 8, the Pope will visit the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to meet with the Madrid diocesan community.
Note that on June 7, Perez was re-elected as the president of the "Royal Club".
