Idman.Biz reports that this figure is considered one of the highest among Europe's leading championships. For comparison, 68 red cards were recorded in the Italian Serie A and 44 in the English Premier League.
This is the fifth season in recent years that the number of red cards in La Liga has exceeded the 100 mark. Previously, a similar indicator was recorded in the 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2022/23 seasons.
