The squad of the Spanish national team for the DÇ-2026, which will be held this summer in the USA, Canada and Mexico, has been announced. Sport24.az reports that head coach Luis de la Fuente has not invited any "Real" players to the national team camp:
Goalkeepers: Unai Simon ("Athletic"), David Raya ("Arsenal"), Joan Garcia ("Barcelona").
Defenders: Pedro Porro ("Tottenham"), Marcos Llorente, Marc Pubill (both "Atletico"), Aymeric Laporte ("Athletic"), Pau Cubarsí, Eric Garcia (both "Barcelona"), Marc Cucurella ("Chelsea"), Alejandro Grimaldo ("Bayer")
Midfielders: Rodri ("Manchester City"), Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino (both "Arsenal"), Gavi, Pedri, Dani Olmo (all "Barcelona"), Fabian Ruiz (PSG).
Forwards: Alex Baena ("Atletico"), Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal (both "Barcelona"), Nico Williams ("Athletic"), Yeremi Pino ("Crystal Palace"), Mikel Oyarzabal ("Real Sociedad"), Victor Muñoz ("Osasuna"), Borja Iglesias ("Celta").
It should be noted that the Spanish national team will face Cabo Verde (June 15), Saudi Arabia (June 21) and Uruguay (June 27) in the group stage. Before that, the team will play 2 friendly matches with Iraq (June 4) and Peru (June 9).
