Spanish club Sevilla officially announced on their website that defender Nemanja Gudelj is leaving the team.
Sports.Biz reports that Gudelj has been playing for Sevilla since 2019.
"As the team captain, the Serbian player led the team through tough times, winning two Europa League titles and earning the respect of all Sevilla fans before leaving the club. The club and the player have mutually agreed to part ways.
Nemanja Gudelj's time at Sevilla has come to an end. On Wednesday, the club and the player met and mutually agreed to part ways when the player's contract expires on June 30. Gudelj joined the Sevilla team at the age of 27 in the summer of 2019 and left the club at the age of 34 after completing his first four seasons and extending his contract for another three years in 2023.
Gudelj leaves the "Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan" stadium after seven seasons and 261 official games, making him the fifth foreign player to play the most games for the club. Of these, 196 were in La Liga, 23 in the Copa del Rey, 21 in the Europa League, 19 in the Champions League, and two in the UEFA Super Cup", the club said in a statement.
