Samir Abasov believed in us and didn't want any excuses.
This was stated by "Neftchi" player Edvin Kuč in his statement to "Report".
The Montenegrin midfielder spoke about the match in the XXIX round of the Misli Premier League, in which they defeated "Shamakhi":
"This match was very important for us. We had to win and we did it. When we went to Shamakhi, everyone was focused on winning as one. Head coach Samir Abasov believed in us a lot and didn't want any excuses. We are very happy to return from a difficult away match with a victory".
He recalled that there were many injured players in the team:
"Injuries have been a disaster for us since the beginning of the season. I don't think any club has so many injured players. Despite the shortcomings in the team, we managed to show a quality and characteristic game in the match with "Shamakhi". I think we deservedly won".
It should be noted that the "Shamakhi" - "Neftchi" match ended with a 2:0 victory for the "white-blacks". The capital's representative is in sixth place with 35 points.
