"Our team did not perform badly this season. At the beginning of the season, our main goal was to form a strong team, and we achieved that." This was stated by MOIK's head coach Ilham Yadullayev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 49-year-old specialist evaluated his team's performance this season:
"We tried to finish the championship in higher positions. Although we took 6th place, we could have been in higher places. There were many injuries in the team during the season, and for this reason, we could not perform consistently. In some games, we lost points that we should have won. In fact, at the beginning of the championship, the team started to find its game and tried to win every match. If I stay at the club next season, there will be serious changes in the team. Negotiations must be held with the management for this. Then we will determine the club's goals and what positions we will fight for."
It should be noted that MOIK finished the 2025/2026 season in the Azerbaijan First League in 6th place with 33 points.
