The defender had previously fulfilled his promise to get a tattoo of Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente if the national team won the 2026 World Cup.
Cucurella played eight games for the national team in the tournament and made two assists. He was included in the World Cup's Team of the Stars.
The 2026 World Cup was held from June 11 to July 19 in three countries - the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Spain became the champion.
