Spanish national team defender Marc Cucurella has shared a farewell message to Chelsea fans on his social media page.
Sport.Biz reports that the player was previously transferred to Real Madrid.
"Hello, "blues". It's time to say goodbye after four years together. I've thought a lot about the time we spent together. I came to the club as a young boy with the ambition to win titles and play in the Champions League. Yes, we had tough days. But together, through our hard work, we were able to change everything. I am grateful to the club and the expectations they had for me, which allowed me to become a better person.
Now I can say with confidence that London will always be my home and you will always be a part of my story. I will always remember the songs you wrote about me, the special evenings at Stamford Bridge, and the trophies with the badge on my chest, where I felt love and support.
I am leaving the club as a man. I have achieved a lot and I am grateful for that. I want to thank the coaching staff for all their advice. My teammates, for everything we experienced together. All the workers at Cobham, for the warm welcome they created.
I want to see Chelsea at the top - that's where you deserve to be. Once a "blue", always a "blue", - Cucurella wrote in his post.
