Azerbaijani forward Mahir Emreli is expected to leave the German football team "Kaiserslautern".
Idman.Biz reports that "Südwest24" writes that the 28-year-old football player has no future in "Kaiserslautern". Emreli failed to reach his previous level last season. He had difficulty performing consistently due to injuries and finished the season with 13 official matches and two goals.
It is reported that the club management will not prevent the striker from leaving. "Südwest24" writes that Mahir's market value is estimated at around 700 thousand euros (1.4 million AZN), so a high transfer demand is not expected. His contract is valid until 2027.
According to reports, several clubs are interested in Mahir Emreli. The Cypriot football club "APOEL Nicosia" wants to add the football player to its squad. The Polish football club "Legia Warsaw" is also considering the option of seeing the left-footed striker in the team again. Emreli has previously played for the Warsaw team.
The German football club "Nuremberg" was also initially mentioned among the interested parties. It is reported that head coach Miroslav Klose wanted to see Mahir back in his squad. However, according to "Bild", "Nuremberg" has already ruled out the return option.
