Mağsad Isayev: "Scoring against Sumgayit was a completely different feeling"

"We took the lead from the first minutes and scored two goals."

He evaluated the match against Sumgayit (3:1) in the XXXI round of the Misli Premier League. The 31-year-old defender said that he was happy that his 250th game in the Azerbaijan championships ended with a victory: "I think we deservedly won. To be honest, I have had many memorable games. I wouldn't want to single out any in particular. But the goal I scored in the home game against Sumgayit and the victory we won were different for me."

Isayev also shared his thoughts before the match against Kapaz, which will be held on April 26 as part of the XXXII round of the Misli Premier League: "The game against Kapaz will be away. The stadium factor will also play a role somewhere in this match. It is a bit difficult to play on an artificial pitch, but we will do our best to win. When the championship started, the goal was to be in the top three. I think we have coped with it. We must not be satisfied with this, there are European Cups in the summer. We need to play decently there too."

It is not yet clear whether the football player, whose two-year contract with Zira will expire in the summer, will leave the club: "We have not had a conversation with the club on this topic. I am currently focusing all my attention on the upcoming games."

It should be noted that Isayev has scored 6 goals in 250 games in the Premier League. He is the 76th football player in the history of Azerbaijani championships to have played 250 or more games. Mağsad played 75 matches for Neftchi, 6 (1 goal) for Shamakhi, 39 (1 goal) for Sabah, 20 for Sabail, 61 (3 goals) for Gabala, and 49 (1 goal) for Zira. The defender debuted in the Premier League on November 30, 2013 in the Sumgayit - Neftchi match (1:2).
