The future of Luka Modrić, the midfielder of the Italian football team "Milan", is once again linked with the Spanish club "Real Madrid".
Idman.Biz reports that the "Royal Club" is preparing to bring the Croatian footballer back to Madrid after he finishes his career.
According to reports, the "Real Madrid" management is considering an administrative or managerial position in the club structure for the 40-year-old player. Modrić is expected to end his football career after the 2026 World Cup.
"Diario AS" writes that Florentino Pérez told Modrić at his farewell ceremony last season that the doors of "Real Madrid" would always be open to him. The club's management believes he could act as a sports director, consultant, or in another role close to the management structure.
Modrić played for "Real Madrid" from 2012 to 2025. He played 590 games for the Madrid team, scored 43 goals, and won 28 titles. Among them are six Champions League cups.
