Algeria, one of the strongest football teams on the African continent, has finalized its squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Lent.az reports that the coaching staff of the "Desert Foxes," led by Vladimir Petkovic, has included well-known players playing in European leagues in the squad.
The list also includes Luca, the son of legendary Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, who recently put on the Algerian jersey.
Goalkeepers: Ussama Benbut ("USM Alger"), Melvin Mastil ("Nyon"), Lucas Zidane ("Granada") and Abdelatif Ramdan ("MC Alger").
Defenders: Rafik Belqali ("Verona"), Samir Chergi ("Paris"), Rayan Ait-Nouri ("Manchester City"), Jauan Hadjam ("Young Boys"), Aissa Mandi ("Lille"), Rami Bensebaini ("Borussia" Dortmund), Zineddine Belaid ("Kabylie"), Achref Abada ("Chlef") and Mohamed Tougai ("Esperance").
Midfielders: Nabil Bentaleb ("Lille"), Hichem Boudaoui ("Nice"), Houssem Aouar ("Al-Ittihad"), Fares Chaibi ("Eintracht" Frankfurt), Yassine Titraoui ("Charleroi"), Ramiz Zerrouki ("Twente"), Adil Boulahbina ("Al-Duhail"), Anis Hadj - Moussa ("Feyenoord") and Riyad Mahrez ("Al-Ahli").

At the 2026 World Cup, Algeria will compete in Group J together with Argentina, Austria and Jordan.
