The official MLS website has announced the updated roster for the league's All-Star game.
Sport.Biz reports that "Inter Miami" and Argentine forward Lionel Messi are not on the roster.
The game will be played on July 29 at the "Bank of America" stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The MLS team will face off against the All-Star team from the Mexican League.
As a reminder, Messi and his national team made it to the final of the 2026 World Cup, where they lost 1-0 to Spain. The match took place on July 19. On July 23, the forward did not participate in the game where "Inter Miami" lost 3-2 to "Chicago Fire".
During the 2026 World Cup, the 39-year-old Argentine became the first player to exceed 20 goals in the tournament and also became the record holder for most games played in the competition.
Note that Son Heung-Min and Thomas Müller will participate in the All-Star game.
