Defender Kieran Trippier has announced that he will leave Newcastle at the end of the current season. Sport24.az reports that he said this in a statement to the press service of the English club:
"After four and a half years, the time has come to leave this wonderful club. I felt at home here. This is a very emotional moment and I will miss it here.
I thank the fans, Eddie Howe, the coaching staff, and the club staff who remain behind the scenes and are not very visible. The head coach trusted me twice, giving me the opportunity to represent a great club and be its captain. Most importantly, we managed to win the cup."
It should be noted that during his career, the football player played 157 matches for Newcastle, scored 4 goals and made 29 assists. He won the English League Cup with the Magpies.
