The head coach of the Azerbaijani "Karvan-Yevlax" football team, Fuzuli Mammadov, touched upon the difficult journey the team had gone through during the season after the 33rd round of the Misli Premier League when the match against "Imishli" ended in a 1:1 draw.
Idman.Biz reports that the specialist thanked his players at the press conference held after the match.
"The game had no significance in terms of the tournament table. But the players wanted to win, we saw a good fight on the field. We finished the season, we went through a difficult road. Unfortunately, our team relegated to the First League. The players suffered on the field. I thank my players very much for the whole season. I am grateful to everyone who has contributed. Although we could not achieve what we wanted. But the season is over, I wish every player success," said Fuzuli Mammadov.
The head coach also clarified the issue of whether he would stay with the team in the new season. According to him, the final decision on this will be made after a meeting with the club's management.
"I really want us to be ambitious in the First League even if we get there, and return to the Premier League again. We will probably have a meeting with the management tomorrow in this direction. Of course, if there are conditions and requirements that I want, I will stay in the team. There are good players in this team who can help us in the First League as well. If the conditions are good, we will talk to the players, they will stay in the team. But the priority is the desire of the management," he noted.
