Kakhaber Tskhadadze: "We should have won by a large margin"

After the "Gabala" - "Mingachevir" match (2:0) held for a place in the Misli Premier League, the head coach of "Gabala" Kakhaber Tskhadadze answered journalists' questions. Sport24.az reports that the expert first expressed his views on the meeting:

– I congratulate the fans of "Gabala" and apologize to them for the season, we did not play like before. There was tension at some moments. As for the game, we were the favorites. I am glad that the players took the game seriously and showed good football. There is dissatisfaction that we scored few goals. We missed real episodes, but let's take into account that we have young players in the team. We decided the fate of the game in the first half. We managed to create many scoring opportunities. As for the opponent, they have an experienced head coach. The main advantage of "Mingachevir" is this factor. They came here thanks to Mammadov. Overall, we were the superior side and deserved to stay in the league.

– Allegedly, it was your last game in the club…

– This question should be asked to the management. My contract continues.

– Ramiz Mammadov said that the head referee Tural Gurbanov could not manage the game well. He saw this as the reason for the defeat. What do you think?

– I don't think so, we should have won by a large margin. The opponent didn't even have a single goal chance.

– If you stay in the team, what kind of changes do you plan to make in the squad?

– Honestly, I'm very tired. I plan to return to my country tomorrow. After returning, we will discuss many issues. It is too early to talk about the future.

– Why was Rza Jafarov, who was called up to the national team, not on the field today?

– We made such a decision. I talked to Rza and he came to us in the middle of the season. He had not played for half a year and needed practice. We decided to give a chance to the more experienced Salahat Aghayev in the last matches. I think we were not wrong.

– "Gabala" should not have been 11th among 12 teams because of their game, and there is no doubt about your coaching skills. What was the problem then?

– The problem is that there was instability. Now I have to stay calm and analyze these. When I spoke with the president of the club, I also said that we should analyze the mistakes.
