Joan Laporta, president of the Spanish club "Barcelona", has been formally accused in a possible fraud case against a woman.
Idman.Biz reports that the case concerns a woman's claim who invested 100,000 euros (approximately 200,000 AZN) in two companies associated with Laporta, and the prosecution considers this as a possible fraud.
According to reports, Laporta must testify in this case on January 16. He has been summoned to court along with Barcelona's vice-president Rafael Yuste, as well as former club officials Xavier Sala Martin and Joan Oliver.
The investigating authorities are investigating how the investment was directed, whether the funds were used as intended, and whether there were any possible violations of the law.
It is noted that the current stage of the accusation is of an investigative nature, and Laporta is presumed innocent until a court decision is made.
