"We prepared well for the match against "Mingachevir". Our head coach gave the necessary instructions. Unfortunately, the two goals we conceded put us in a difficult situation. We couldn't recover after that." These words were said by Isa Zeynalli, the captain of "Baku Sporting", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced defender shared his thoughts on the match against "Mingachevir", which they lost in the 23rd round:
"We conceded goals from our mistakes in the second half. Not being able to win for 6 consecutive rounds is due to bad luck. Our goal was to finish the championship in 4th place. We still have a chance. We just can't turn the episodes we create into goals. Our opponents, on the other hand, take advantage of almost every opportunity. Next round we have a match with "Jabrayil". We want to get out of the "black streak" and win. We intend to continue the fight for 4th place."
It should be noted that "Baku Sporting" is in 6th place with 26 points after 23 rounds in the First League.
