"Rayo Vallecano" head coach Iñigo Pérez will soon take over the "helm" of "Villarreal." Sport24.az reports that the "Marca" publication has reported on this.
The 38-year-old specialist will replace Marcelino Toral, who was officially announced to be leaving at the beginning of May.
Before taking on the role of head coach in 2024, Iñigo Pérez worked in the coaching staff of "Rayo Vallecano" in the 2022/23 season.
It should be noted that under the leadership of Pérez, "Rayo Vallecano" reached the final of the Conference League this season and lost to "Crystal Palace" 0-1 in the decisive match.
"Villarreal" took third place in La Liga, securing a direct ticket to the Champions League.
