The 2024/2025 season in the Misli Premier League has been more successful in terms of productivity compared to the previous championship. According to Sport24.az, increasing the number of teams has also had a positive impact on goal statistics.
Thus, in the championship with 10 teams last season, 432 goals were scored in 180 games. This meant an average of 2.4 goals per match.
In the season that ended yesterday, 12 teams competed in the Premier League. A total of 513 goals were recorded in 198 matches. With this, the average productivity increased to 2.59 goals.
Statistical indicators show that not only the total number of goals but also the productivity per game has increased.
This season, fans have watched more open and high-scoring matches. In particular, the preference of teams in the middle and lower tiers for attacking football is considered one of the main factors in increasing productivity.
