"The result of the match with "Kapaz" was not significant in terms of the tournament table".
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by "Neftchi" striker Imad Faraj.
The 27-year-old footballer stated that although the match was not important in terms of the tournament table, the team wanted to finish the season with a victory.
"The result of the match with "Kapaz" was not significant in terms of the tournament table. But this was the last game of the season. We wanted to win. Our head coach also demanded 3 points from us. We intended to finish the championship with a victory," he said in a statement to qol.az.
The French striker also emphasized that he believes that "Neftchi" will perform successfully in European cups:
"We are happy to have qualified for the European Cups. But we must not be satisfied with this. Now we need to think about the group stage. I believe that we can do it together with our head coach".
Faraj finally stated that he feels comfortable in Baku and "Neftchi":
"I have a two-year contract with the club. Everything in "Neftchi" satisfies me. I am happy to be in Baku".
