“The condition of the pitch at the Baku Sportinq Arena is not good. Therefore, we structured our plans taking into account the state of the pitch.” These were the words of Malik Oliyev Institute of KFA (MOİK) head coach Ilham Yadullayev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 47-year-old specialist shared his thoughts on the match where his team defeated Baku Sportinq in the 5th round of the First League:
“Although Baku Sportinq has not earned any points after 5 rounds, they have quality players in their squad. That is why we should not be misled by the opponent's position in the tournament table. We unexpectedly conceded a goal early in the first half. Our squad is wide. Although the number of our injured players is high for now, hopefully they will recover soon and rejoin the team. We trust both our experienced and young players. We believe in each of them and try to maximize their potential throughout the season.”
Yadullayev spoke about the team's target for this season:
“We are competing for top places in the league table. Our goal is to finish the season with the maximum result possible. For this, we must approach every game seriously and do our best. Whatever is destined for us at the end of the season, that shall be.”
It is worth noting that the Baku Sportinq - MOİK match ended with a 3:1 victory for the visitors.
