Liverpool is preparing to make serious changes to its squad. Sport24.az, citing Sky Sport, reports that the Merseyside club is preparing to part ways with central defender Ibrahima Konate.
Although the club's management held talks with the French footballer to sign a new contract, the parties could not reach a common denominator. As a result, the 27-year-old defender is expected to leave the team as a free agent at the end of the season.
It should be noted that Konate, who was transferred from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, has appeared in 183 official matches for Liverpool. During this time, he won the English Premier League once, the English Cup once, and the English League Cup twice with the Merseyside club.
