Manchester City has officially confirmed that Pep Guardiola will leave his position as head coach after 10 years at the club.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the Spaniard revealed in a candid interview the decision he still regrets the most.
He recalled how harshly he treated goalkeeper Joe Hart early in his career in 2016, after he lost his place in the team and was sent on loan.
"I want to confess something. I regret it. You make mistakes when you make a lot of decisions. I have a deep regret for years: I didn't give Joe Hart a chance to prove his worth, even though he was a good goalkeeper. And I should have done it.
I have full respect for Claudio Bravo, Ederson - he was important when he came. Sometimes I'm not fair enough. When I have doubts, I talk to people, but back then I was 100 percent sure it was the right thing to do. The club supported me in this."
