The German national football team defeated Finland 4-0 in a friendly match as part of their preparation for the World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that the match took place at the "MEVA Arena" in Mainz, Germany. Deniz Undav, Florian Wirtz, and Jamal Musiala scored the goals for the German team. Undav scored a brace in the game.
The score was opened in the 34th minute. Undav put the German national team ahead. At the beginning of the second half, Wirtz increased the lead. In the 57th minute, Undav scored his second goal, and in the 63rd minute, Musiala determined the final result.
This victory was an important test for Germany before the World Cup. Julian Nagelsmann's team will start the tournament in Group E. Germany will compete in the group with Curaçao, Côte d'Ivoire, and Ecuador.
Finland, on the other hand, failed to qualify for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup. The team finished third in Group G of the European qualifying round, after Poland and the Netherlands.
